Significance of the school’s curriculum:
It is rightly said that “If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail”. This line is totally apt when it comes to the curriculum of a school. If planned properly, students will be able to grab knowledge and learn to the fullest, else they might fail miserably. So, the curriculum of a school should be derived meticulously after analyzing the needs and level of the students.
By its literal definition, curriculum refers to academic content and lesson that are expected to be taught in a particular grade in school. A curriculum contains a list of subjects along with other details. It lays down a blueprint for different aspects of students & teachers life including student’s learning tools, time available for classes, duration of a session, lesson plan, assessments and methods to evaluate students.
Community knowledge: The school curriculum contains local stories and history of the community. Teachings that include local knowledge are useful in contextualizing the school in the community.
Interdisciplinary learning: This is done either through infusion into each subject area or through interdisciplinary modules.
Democratic practices: It includes the ways teachers take care of students, the ways rules are set, and the way of making decisions.
Action projects: It emphasizes on projects related to gardening, helping senior citizens, working in NGOs, keeping track of local air or water quality, etc.
Teaching and learning methods: The teaching method is set in a way that students can get most out of the classes they attend.
Significance of the school curriculum:
The curriculum of schools is drawn by the educational boards or central society. Before setting a curriculum, the needs of students and all other feasibilities are considered. At the primary school level, the curriculum aims at providing every child an equal opportunity to excel by making them study the same subjects. However, in high school, students can make their own decisions in choosing their discipline. So, the development of the student is more focused and rampant in high-school.

All-round development: For complete development of a student, a well-planned curriculum is the main instrument. It helps in developing the social, physical, emotional and intellectual aspects of the student.
Achievements of Aims: The aims of education are unattainable without a proper curriculum. It helps in achieving the objectives of education with the right direction.
Developing democratic values: Curriculum helps to develop the feeling of liberty, fraternity and equality among students.
Development of individuals: Every student has different abilities and he/she cannot learn equally as other students. But, the type of curriculum and the design of the curriculum can enable each student to develop individually according to his/her abilities.
The objective is to bring continuous improvement in the performance of a learner though constant diagnosis of gaps and difficulties in learning and helping the learner in overcoming through remediation of instruction

At the Senior Secondary level (+2) our students can opt for Science and Commerce.
In the Science Stream we offer :
English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Practice, Physical Education & Painting.
In the Commerce Stream we offer :
English, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Mathematics, Information Practice, Physical Education & Painting.
Academic Year :
The Academic year commences in April and ends in March.
